Meet Dr Christopher Chambers (PhD)

Christopher helps students navigate both the emotional and technical challenges of research with a clear, structured approach rooted in real-world experience. Having faced the isolation and self-doubt of completing his own PhD remotely, he understands firsthand how crucial the right support can be.

Drawing on over 20 years advising students at institutions including Northeastern, Providence College and Dartmouth, Christopher brings a grounded, practical approach to helping students manage their time, clarify their thinking and maintain momentum through the research process. His background in sociology gives him the insight to guide students through the complexities of research design, data collection and analysis with confidence.

Experience

Christopher brings over 20 years of experience supporting students at every level. As Head Faculty Advisor at Northeastern University, he guided 350+ students annually through their degrees and research projects. At Providence College, he combined teaching with hands-on mentoring as Assistant Professor and Faculty in Residence. His consulting work with ThirdWay Leadership and Hope Harvesting has involved designing and delivering mixed-methods research projects for corporate clients.

Qualifications

Christopher holds a PhD in Sociology from Texas A&M University, along with master’s degrees from the University of Florida and University of Maryland. His research has been published in academic volumes on race, gender and higher education.
