Anna helps students tackle the most challenging parts of their dissertation journey with clarity and confidence. With extensive experience as a dissertation chair, methodologist and special education researcher, she brings insider knowledge of what examiners want. Anna’s approach is practical and supportive. She breaks down complex research tasks into manageable steps, helping students move from stuck to confident.
Drawing on her background in qualitative research and teacher preparation, Anna specialises in helping students align their frameworks with their methods, navigate IRB processes and produce defensible, well-structured research. Experience
Anna has supported over 30 doctoral students and more than 100 master’s students through supervision, coaching and advising. She has served as dissertation chair and methodologist at Marymount University, guiding students through every stage from proposal to defence. Her professional experience spans classroom teaching, school administration and federal policy work with the US Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs, giving her a practical understanding of how research translates into real-world impact.
Qualifications
Anna holds a PhD in Special Education and Educational Leadership from George Mason University, where she focused on administrative support for special education teachers. She also holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and Virginia teaching licences in Administration, Supervision and Special Education. Anna is an active member of the Council for Exceptional Children, the Council of Administrators of Special Education and the Council for Learning Disabilities.
