Expert Contributor: Katherine Faulkner

Katherine Faulkner is an Adjunct Professor at the College of Global Studies at Arcadia University, where she’s taught since 2013. She’s also a Visiting Lecturer at the Courtauld Institute of Art, teaching courses on Modern Sculpture in London and co-teaching a master’s course on art, science, and the Aesthetic Movement in Britain.

Katherine serves as Widening Participation Academic Coordinator at the Courtauld, coordinating the Summer University programme for sixth-form pupils from London state schools. Her research focuses on British art, particularly Victorian sculpture, material culture, and science. She holds a PhD in British Sculpture (1880-1914) and an MA in British Art (1860-1900) from the Courtauld Institute of Art, plus a BA in History of Art with Material Studies from University College London.
