Methodology Checklist

What This Checklist Covers

A run through the decisions your methodology chapter has to make and defend, grouped into seven sections:

• Alignment and approach — paradigm and method fit your questions.
• Methodological choices — design, sampling, collection, analysis.
• Justifications and credibility — defended, valid and reliable.
• Pilot study — what it changed, or why you skipped it.
• Acknowledging limitations — the shortcomings, and the ethics.
• Compliance and quality control — word count, formatting, citations.
• Final review — the last pass, including your supervisor’s input.

The checklist can be copied to your Google Drive or downloaded as a fully editable document, so you can tick items off as you go.
